The Challenge / Brief
Home Leisure Direct is the Uk’s Premier games room specialist supplying everything to entertain family and friends.
Having been selected to take part in the Sky Adsmart SME100 initiative, HLD were keen to have an effective, enterating and hard-working TV Advert produced.
Fable Studios was chosen to bring this project safely to fruition in the tight timescales dictated by the Sky Adsmart initiative.
The brief was simple – capture the vast selection of products on offer and excellent level of service whilst integrating a touch of comedy.
Just the type of challenge Fable Studios enjoys!
Taking our lead from Andy at Home Leisure Direct, Fable Studios planned a carefully controlled shooting day fully complying with all Covid-19 regulations and precautions.
Of course, the products were the true stars (especially the pool table shaped like a Shelby GT-350 car!) so extra time was allotted to ensure that these were all captured in their best light.
Our two cast did a wonderful job of providing a range of performances for the comedy section allowing for fine-tuning of the tone in editing.
We wanted to ensure instant recognition with the Home Leisure Direct brand so the URL and logo are on-screen throughout so, even if viewing only part of the TV Advert, any viewer could take action.
A high-energy voice-over was written and recorded specifically to position the brand name prominently in the audience’s mind.
On the production side, the Ad passed seamlessly through Clearcast guided by our experienced team and was delivered ahead of deadline.
A fantastic blend of comedy, communication and polished product shots, the final Ad represents the attitude and personality of Home Leisure Direct as well as their vast range of games room equipment.
